Now That's a Transformation
This 1970 U900 belongs to a customer of ours up in Scotland. When he bought the unimog, it was in a bit of a mess as you can see from the picture! A lot of time has been spent bringing it up to how it looks now!
Everything has been stripped down, rebuilt, refurbished and upgraded throughout the whole project. The owner was very lucky to find a totally rust free cab from a German rail roader. We also played our part and supplied various spares such as the rear box and new front wings. The unimog is fitted with a cascade gearbox, front and rear PTO, high speed PTO, tipper box, and front and rear linkages. The hydraulic system has also had a make-over and now has 8 independent electric double acting services plus the standard arrangement!
The jobs not quite over yet as there is still a refurbished Hiab Crane to fit behind the cab which will be done soon. The mog is going to be used for play mostly but will be made to earn its keep in the Scottish winters running the Schmit snow blower and towing the timber trailer in the summer.
