U1300l School Firetruck with Snowplough
This U1300L fire engine was bought by a boarding school in Yorkshire to keep the youngsters safe in the event of an emergency and to keep the grounds free from snow in winter. This big yellow plough is one of the newest additions to our accessories list - it is made from high yield steel with a rubber squeegee bottom and is priced very reasonably at just £2875 + VAT.
The plough is 10 feet long and 2.5 feet tall. It uses the Unimog hydraulics to lift off the ground and is easily fitted to the front of the mog with a plate which fits on the standard Unimog DIN plate. In addition to this plough the mog was fitted with various other bits before it left here. To combat the rust which our delightfully wet British weather brings on, the fire mog was fitted with one of our large aluminium fuel tanks and our chequerplate aluminium battery box too.
There is an AV stainless steel stack to divert fumes away from pupils and passers by and the engine has been fitted with a heavy duty radiator. The cab has benefitted from our rubber and foam soundproofing kit and the seats have been re-upholstered in leather. The windscreen has also been upgraded and is now heated - very fancy!
