Proving There's Still Working Life in Round Cab Mo
This long wheelbase U1100L is used for a wide range of towing and load carrying jobs. The owner bought the mog from Belgium and then set to readying it for work by removing the mouse nest under the dash board and re-doing all the wiring!
It has a homemade box on the back with a lightweight tarpaulin roof which is easily removed as required. The mog has been fitted with both a front and rear winch and has recently had another homemade piece of kit fitted - a roof box. To improve its usability and to tailor it for this owners specific needs it has been fitted with a vice holder.
Proving that little Unimogs are still very good at going to work this mog lists rescuing a Land Rover and chipper from axle deep mud and carrying a 3 tonne load of wood chippings to a site on a steep hill in its achievements. The owner finds that it is the diff lock facility that gives the mog its edge and it has been nicknamed by his friends as his 'Swiss army knife'. Indispensable indeed!
