Hardworking U900 Mog in Chilean Jungle
These photos were taken in the South American country of Chile which has a number of Unimogs due to their once popularity in the military there. This little U900 is working on the coastal native forest in southern Chile, close to Rio Negro and the city of Osorno.
The mog is part of a project in a property being developed for eco tourism which is at an altitude of 750m above sea level. The terrain is pretty difficult and the team are involved in opening up the current road to gain better access, as well as some limited cutting of native timber.
These photos look like the mog is struggling in the wet mud but by filling the deepest sections with rocks, the work has been able to continue and the mog is put to the test hauling lumber out to the main road and bringing other necessary supplies into the camp. For a vehicle that is from 1974 we don't think it's doing badly at all.
