Authentic Arboriculture are a Surrey and Hampshire based tree surgery company that specialise in domestic and commercial tree surgery. We chose Atkinson Vos for our Unimog purchase as we have had a vehicle before from them and were very happy with the service provided. Looking at the cost of the usual van and chipper combination it made sense for us to go down the Unimog road. We already had a TP230 9" chipper so a Unimog made perfect sense.

Chillwind supply and install meteorological masts throughout the UK and parts of Europe. The masts are usually installed in very remote locations often requiring access across rough terrain. With the Unimog and trailer we are often able to get right onto the site, and using the 6 tonne winch mounted on the front of the Mog, a lot of time, and effort, is saved.

Alex Hampton from Cumbrian Cabins visited us nearly 2 years ago looking for a unimog to help him in his business of designing and building unique garden offices, log cabins, studios, stables and fishing huts.

He went away with a U1450 which has helped him and his business tremendously. Alex says "Basically I could not do the job without the mog. It lifted one log of five tonnes into position, as you can imagine that is a little heavy for me to lift!" Glad we could help!!

Daniel C Upton Ltd, Specialised Tree Services have been able to streamline one of their work gangs from a tractor + van and chipper to the one unit (Unimog) and make their long distance work more viable due to the Unimog's capacity.

Devonoak consists of a team of guys in Mid Devon who make timber frames for houses, sheds, barns or extensions. The Mog gets used for loading the sawmill in the yard and raising buildings on site. Although the mog is 28 years old, it's almost infallibly reliable and the guys at Atkinson Vos are a great help on the rare occasions that it's needed!

Rogers Rescue bought this unimog U1250 from us back in November 2005 and they have done a marvellous job of doing it up.

Rogers Rescue specialises in roadside breakdown, repair and recovery operations for motorcycles, light and heavy vehicles. The company operates through a 24 hour control centre, 365 days a year.

They have workshop repair facilities based on two operational sites. These have extended opening hours with access to an extensive parts store. They also have a fleet of cars for hire, a fast fit facility for tyres/batteries/exhausts and a dedicated roadside tyre replacement service vehicle.

The Mog has proved to be invaluable moving equipment and materials to and from site but it is also used for fitting ecological fencing ( hence the black panels and fitting frame, minus the leg, on the 3 point linkage in the photo) we also have a cage body with a 3 way tip for it and run a Farmi 290 chipper off the rear PTO, Kinghitter or Wrag post drivers are also used on it for fencing work.

The Mog has taken a bit of getting use to having previously been more accustomed to conventional tractors but with the help of Frank and his team at Atkinson Vos in the background for advice, parts and service the learning curve has been made much more manageable.
